MANILA: The Philippine Daily Inquirer, the Philippine's most influential newspaper, will partner with Layout International, an enterprise solution provider, to optimize the newspaper's production cycle and at the same time accelerate the transformation into multi-platform publishing and "digital first" news publishing.
Layout International's total solution brings in industry-specific expertise and service excellence to The Inquirer: the turnaround time and efficiency of The Inquirer's automated production cycle will improve for print and digital publishing.
Layout International will also further develop the existing online sites, adding new features and streamlining content.
Noli Navarro, Inquirer's IT operations manager, explains that "The implementation of the NewsPublish systems is a core building block of the Group's transformation. It will replace a number of older systems that we have and setup a technology infrastructure. This is fundamental in improving editorial efficiency and profitability now that content can be shared and published across platforms and all the publications of our Group."
